Hitmaker Charlie Puth will have a big-time first this summer at the Jersey Shore.

He's set to headline the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, located minutes from his hometown of Rumson, for the first time in his career. Puth's The Charlie Live Experience tour plays June 3 at the Holmdel venue.

Puth gave area fans a preview of the show on Oct. 23 at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, which is considerably smaller than the PNC Bank Arts Center.

“You have no idea. I’m so happy to be here,” Puth said. “My name is Charlie and I am so happy to be playing in front of real life human beings for the first time in four years!”

The crowd replied with lots of energetic screams throughout the night.

Puth has been on top of the charts since 2015 with hits like “See You Again,” “How Long,” “We Don't Talk Anymore,” “Marvin Gaye,” “The Way I Am,” “One Call Away,” “Light Switch,” “Attention,” and “Left and Right” with Jung Kook of BTS.

The tour begins May 20 at the Corona Capital Festival in Guadalajara, Mexico, and debuts in the States May 24 at the Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Dallas. Other area shows include June 13 at the Mann Center in Philly, and June 15 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Tickets and select VIP packages are available starting with the artist presale that began Wednesday. General onsale tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17. Single tickets begin at $35, VIP packages start at $179 for the Holmdel show.
