Charlotte athletes looking to break through + Cuzzo’s Cuisine expanding with third location

The best high school athletes often go on to become good-to-great athletes in college, or some sort of developmental league.

The majority of the those who have hopes of ascending to the top of their respective sports eventually come to a realization that major-league is a very difficult thing to achieve.

2. Popular Charlotte restaurant Cuzzo’s Cuisine to open third location

Cuzzo’s Cuisine is opening a third shop early next month.

The popular Charlotte restaurant known for its southern fare and comfort foods initially started as a food truck in 2014. It currently has two locations: one in Enderly Park and another in University City.

3. Free IDs now available as NC prepares to implement voter ID. How you can get one.

Voters can now get free IDs at their local community board of elections to comply with the state’s new voter ID requirement.

The North Carolina State Board of Elections announced today that registered voters who don’t currently have an acceptable ID can now get a free ID to be used for voting.

4. Lake Norman search underway for person who jumped from cliff to water, police say

Emergency workers are searching for a possible drowning victim in Lake Norman.

The swimmer jumped off cliffs into the lake and disappeared around 7:45 p.m. in the 21100 block of Nautique Boulevard in Cornelius, according to police.
