Charlotte’s James Beard finalist’s new dining concept is here. And you can get it for $90
When the transformation from Biblio to Counter-’s new Archive experience takes place on Friday, Dec. 15, you can expect to see some of executive chef and owner Sam Hart’s best work on a plate.
You won’t find the same themed experience as you would inside Counter-, where the meal tells a story with accompanying music and artwork.
But what you will find from the James Beard Award finalist for Best Chef: Southeast is a seven-course selection of some of their favorite menus from the Counter- lineup — packaged in a “more approachable experience.” Meals at Counter-’s current Time theme are $185 per person, and it’s Time Ultimate option — which adds four courses with rare ingredients — is $235 per person.
Here’s what you should know:
Archive’s first menu will include dishes from seven distinct Counter- themes:
“Oysters Rockefeller” (Fire Menu)
King Crab (Sauce Menu)
Doppio (Here & Now Menu)
Black (Colour Menu)
Rossini (Covers Menu)
Parm Banana (Pop-Ups)
Milkshake (Cinema Menu).
Pricing and other details:
Pre-paid reservations will be $90.
Two wine pairings will be available — the Global ($55) and the Reserve ($125).
Reservations are now live and can be made via Tock.
2% of all sales will be split between The Relatives and Time Out Youth, nonprofit organizations that the restaurant partners with to support young people in the community.
All dietary restrictions and allergies will be accommodated.
