Charlotte through our lens: Come see The Observer’s best pictures of the year on display

Carolina Panthers place kicker Eddy Pineiro, center, is hoisted by his teammates after making the winning field goal during the game against the Texans at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday, October 29, 2023. The Panthers beat the Texans, 15-13.

The Charlotte Observer, in partnership with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Library, will present the “Captured Memories: A Year in Photos” exhibit, showcasing the photography of the Observer’s visuals staff.

From private moments to the images that sealed the biggest events of the year in our minds, each picture tells a story. Our photographers will share details of their favorite images, including how they landed the unforgettable shot and why the picture is so memorable.
