Charlotte man wins $100,000 off $3 Powerball ticket

A lucky Charlotte man is $100,000 richer thanks to one Powerball ticket.

Fekri Soussi tried his luck with $3 Power Play ticket and won a $100,000 prize in Monday’s drawing.

Soussi bought the ticket from Adams Mart on Elm Lane in Charlotte. He matched the numbers on fourt white balls and red Powerball to first win $50,000. The prize doubled when the 2X multiplier hit.

Soussi claimed his prize at the lottery’s headquarters on Friday, taking home $71,257 after federal and state tax withholdings.
