Charlotte is one of the fastest growing cities in the country, and it was just named one of the best places to live in the South.

U.S. News and World Report released a list of the top southern metros to live across the region and Charlotte was ranked No. 5.

The rankings were based on a number of factors including affordability, job market, desirability, quality of education and overall well-being.

Not only is Charlotte listed as one of the top places to live in the South. The city also ranked No. 8 in the rankings for best places to live in the U.S.
