Charlotte Thanksgiving Travel Forecast: Sunny And Mild

Thanksgiving Day should be sunny and gorgeous, however, rain will creep back into the forecast by Saturday. Here’s what you can expect.

CHARLOTTE, NC — This week will be one filled with gorgeous, sunny weather and mild autumn temperatures, according to forecasters. On Thursday — Thanksgiving Day — skies will be clear and the high in the mid-50s. Travelers driving back home this weekend, however, could see rain showers.

The holiday week is set to kick off with a warm start Monday, which will have a high in the mid 60s. Temperatures will cool throughout the week, with a high of 58 on Tuesday, and 54 on Wednesday. Thursday’s high will be around 53 degrees, according to NWS.

Rain showers are expected early Saturday morning before dawn and will last throughout the day. Sunday, however, conditions should improve with a return to sunny skies and a high of 60.

Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 63. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 58. Northwest wind around 8 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 34. North northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Wednesday (Nov. 21)
Sunny, with a high near 54. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
