Chase Bank to open branch in Scranton

Dec. 14—A new Chase Bank branch is planned for Courthouse Square.

The bank at 203 N. Washington Ave. is projected to open in the spring, said Jimmy Contreras, vice president, U.S. regional communications for JPMorgan Chase.

Signs on the building — the former location of Subway and Electric City Pizza — indicate the new branch is "coming soon."

Subway and Electric City Pizza relocated to 209 N. Washington Ave. earlier this year.

Chase Bank posted several job positions for Scranton, including associate banker, relationship banker and lead associate operations trainee.
