A trio of legendary singers and a pair of rock bands are expected to wow crowds this summer at the Chautauqua Institution.
Known as a community of artists, educators, thinkers, faith leaders and friends dedicated to exploring the best in humanity, the institution in New York state is also a place to see a great show. Located at 1 Ames Ave., Chautauqua, New York, the institution brings big-name performers to its Amphitheater each year.
Chautauqua's summer 2023 lineup also includes Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue with Mavis Staples; Bonnie Raitt; Natalie Merchant; Melissa Etheridge; Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and the music of the Beatles and Billy Joel. Performances of "Sweeney Todd" and "Pride and Prejudice" and by the Washington Ballet also are scheduled, along with "The Princess Bride" in concert with the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra.
