If you live near a Sheetz gas station in Ohio and you're looking to fill up before you hit the road this Thanksgiving holiday, the company announced it is reducing its Unleaded 88 gas prices to $1.99/gallon for Thanksgiving week beginning Monday.
Sheetz did the same thing last year, offering the alternative gasoline at a discounted rate ahead of one of the largest travel seasons of the year.

Where is Sheetz in Ohio?
Sheetz currently operates over 70 gas stations in Ohio, with most located in Eastern Ohio, Dayton, Greater Columbus and the Cleveland metropolitan area. You can use the Sheetz store locater on the company website to find your nearest location.
The company, based in Altoona, Pennsylvania, operates over 700 stores located throughout Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland. All locations are open 24/7, 365 days a year.
What is Unleaded 88 and can I use it in my car?
The EPA has approved Unleaded 88 for use in passenger vehicles built after 2001, although some high-performance vehicles recommend only using mid-range and premium gas. Contrary to some social media buzz when it first gained popularity, Unleaded 88 won’t destroy your car.
The fuel can damage an engine if it sits in the tank for too long, which is why it is not recommended for vehicles used seasonally, such as boats and lawn mowers.
Unleaded 88 can result in slightly lower gas mileage, but also gives off fewer planet-warming carbon emissions. Experts say the difference is small, and the fuel is worth the price as long as it is at least 5% cheaper than regular unleaded.
