WEST SALEM − Cheap Trick has been added to an eclectic lineup for this summer's new Dragway 42 Music Festival in Wayne County.

Cheap Trick joins fellow rock and roll veteran Ted Nugent and throwback pop metal band Warrant, along with popular country music act Big & Rich. Rounding out the festival will be country music artist Jon Langston and Steven Adler, the original drummer for heavy metal icons Guns N' Roses.

The event is July 28-29 and features a camping option. Dragway 42 is at 9161 Rainbow Highway.

Tickets are on sale at www.42fest.com. Two-day passes are $99.99; single day tickets cost $79.99; single day and weekend VIP tickets are also available starting at $169.99. Campsites are also available starting at $120. On site parking is $10 per day.

Owners of Dragway 42 are Ron and Mary Ann Matcham.

“Ron has always wanted to bring music entertainment to the facility," Mary Ann Matcham said in a news release. "While sitting at a country concert himself, the lightbulb went off when he saw the hills and mounds for spectators and fans to sit on to watch racing and now concerts.

"... The entire Dragway 42 family is excited to host all these talented artists at our new and improved facility. ... So, get your ears ready because we're going to rock the whole town of West Salem ... for two days straight.”

Nugent's signature songs include "Stranglehold," "Cat Scratch Fever," "Dog Eat Dog" and "Free-for-All."

Cheap Trick, members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, boast a slew of decades-old hits, including "Surrender," "I Want You To Want Me," "Dream Police" and "The Flame."

Warrant garnered heavy radio play in the late '80s and early '90s with "Down Boys," "Heaven," "Cherry Pie" and "Uncle Tom's Cabin."

Forming in the late '90s, Big & Rich scored hits with "Save A Horse (Ride a Cowboy)," "Fake ID" and "8th of November."

Concerts begin on July 28 with Jon Langston at 5:45 p.m. followed by Big & Rich at 7:30 p.m. before headliner Ted Nugent takes the stage at 9:15 p.m.
