CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Cheatham County mother and daughter are behind bars after allegedly trying to kill their husband/father.
According to the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was the husband and biological father of the two women.
Authorities said they received the initial 911 call around 7 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27. Deputies were sent to a home located in the 3500 block of Sweethome Road to investigate.
When deputies arrived, they found three people at two locations, all bleeding from various injuries.
Deputies said the women and the man told much different stories.
News 2 spoke to investigators who spent hours sifting through the crime scene, examining blood evidence, forensics, and interviewing all parties involved. In the end, deputies charged the wife, 62-year-old Pam Davis, and the daughter, 29-year-old Kelly Davis, with attempted first-degree murder.
The women are both being held in the Cheatham County Jail on $80,000 bonds.
News 2 has obtained body camera footage as the deputies first arrived and began their investigation.
They first responded to a neighbor’s home, where they found the 59-year-old victim in his shorts, leaning against the side of his neighbor’s home on the front porch.
“What’s going on, man? You alright? You got blood all over you,” the deputy said.
The man had no shirt on. His bald head was covered with blood that was trickling into his eyes. The blood also splattered onto his chest and stomach, according to the body camera footage.
“Tell EMS [we got a] 59-year-old white male, bleeding profusely from the head,” the deputy radioed.
The man was shivering as he told the deputy, “We argued for several hours.”
He also told deputies that he and his wife had an argument the night before after he demanded a divorce.
“I announced to my wife last night I want a divorce,” the man said.
According to the man, after he went to sleep, his wife and daughter beat him in the head with an iron skillet and cut him with a knife.
The man told deputies he escaped and ran to his neighbors across the street. That neighbor called 911.
At the same time, the women in the man’s home also called 911 and reported the incident, telling dispatchers the man was allegedly the aggressor.
When deputies crossed the road and entered the home, they found Kelly crying while sitting in the middle of the floor. She also had cuts on her upper torso, according to investigators.
The deputy later wrote in his report, “Upon further observation, every laceration found on Kelly was superficial/shallow lacerations, even the laceration of her neck.”
“Tell EMS I got two more victims in here, lots of blood. Standby, I’ll try to assess the wounds,” the deputy was heard saying.
The man’s wife, Pam, was leaning against the wall with what the deputy described as cuts to her arms and head.
The report indicates Pam was having trouble identifying herself and had a hard time remembering her birth year. She was also drifting in and out of consciousness.
Though the stories are quite different, Cheatham County investigators told News 2 they have analyzed the evidence and spoke to all parties, and after conducting a lengthy investigation, the wife and daughter have been charged in this incident. The man was taken to the hospital and treated for his head wounds.
Officials said none of the family members had a prior arrest history in Cheatham County. Authorities added they never received any calls for incidents or disturbances at the family’s home in the past.
