Raymond wrote that Hayden’s smile is contagious and thanked her for representing the district with pride.

Sophomore Chloe-Jade Ness was the second student recognized. She was nominated by Mary Garcia.

In the nomination letter, Garcia described Ness as an advocate for herself, taking the lead in her education and maintaining a positive attitude.

"She is an insightful, sensitive and deeply self-aware individual driven to do her best at all times,” Garcia wrote. “Her kind nature and openness to feedback means she's always learning and growing as a student. Most impressive of all, Chloe never hesitates to advocate for herself.”

Nominated by Peter Maybank, junior Adreana Polzin was the third student to earn the November Student of the Month honor.

In his letter, Maybank said he has seen Polzin grow, now having her for the second year in the district’s culinary program.

“She is such a great spot in the program this season. She is happy and confident and always has a smile on her face,” Maybank said. “She has signed up to volunteer for catering on several occasions this year and is not afraid to take the lead when necessary. It is common to see her helping others without being asked, her employability skills are among the best in my program, as well as her grades.”

Caden Gardner was the senior honoree for student of the month. Haley Dawley, the teacher who nominated Gardner, described him as a student who does a great job participating and adding value to discussions.

“Not only is he able to respond with the actual answers, but he applies concepts and can connect with the real world,” Dawley wrote. "Caden also shows up with a good attitude and a positive presence. I appreciate his hard work and mindset.”

Sophomore Austin Coggins was also named as the December Inverness Academy Student Spotlight.

Coggins was nominated by the staff because he has worked on different leadership roles and maintaining good grades and staying on top of his online school assignments.

They also said he was nominated because he is always respectful and willing to help.
