Cheboygan police, The Lord’s Kitchen help deliver turkey dinners before Thanksgiving

CHEBOYGAN — With Thanksgiving almost here, there’s people out there who are doing what they can to help give back to the Cheboygan community.

On Monday morning, Lieutenant Ron White from the Cheboygan City Police Department and representatives from the Lord’s Kitchen helped deliver turkey dinners to local families in need.

“This was made possible by a private donation,” White said. “Both the Lord’s Kitchen and city police hope to continue with this program in the future."

White added that delivering the turkey dinners is a strong way of helping those in need as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches.

“The city police see some of the hardships that our local families go through and this is a way that we can help give back," White said.
