The bobblehead is back. Right in time for Florida A&M University’s fall semester and the return of Rattlers athletics.

This time, its Lady Venom rattling.

FAMU is one of the 14 historically Black colleges and universities recognized in the second segment of the HBCU Bobblehead Series released Friday by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

“Bobbleheads are often passed down from generation to generation, and we think the bobbleheads in this new HBCU Series will certainly become cherished keepsakes,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said in a release.

As a participant of the HBCU Series, FAMU and the other 13 featured schools will receive a percentage of the sales for each bobblehead sold from their respective schools.

This series follows the first HBCU Bobblehead Series introduced in February which featured 13 HBCU mascots including FAMU’s “Venom,” which slithered its way to the No. 1 spot in sales with nearly 600 purchases.

"We hope the alumni, students, faculty, staff, and the entire Florida A&M community will enjoy this new bobblehead,” Sklar said.

The bobblehead will feature Florida A&M’s mascot decorated in a citrus orange and agricultural green skirt set with “FAMU” plastered on the front of the “Lady Venom” character’s shirt. The figure sits on a base reading “Rattlers” and the signature Florida A&M logo is on the back of the stand.

Each FAMU bobblehead is individualized with numbers up to 2,023 etched on the bottom.

The 2,023 bobbleheads are now available for pre-order on the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s online store for $35 and an extra $8 for shipping.

The first series of HBCU bobbleheads are also back in stock and are available for purchase online as well. The figures are expected to ship around the end of the month.
