From drinking green beer, donning green and dancing, or feasting on corned beef, Reuben rolls and shepherd's pie, there are many ways to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in the Milwaukee suburbs.

St. Patrick's Day is Friday, March 17.

Here are some spots in the Milwaukee area that are featuring St. Patrick's Day menus or events. Check with the individual businesses for further updates. The list may not include every event, restaurant or function in the area, but it will get you started.

Brookfield

At WhirlyBall on Saturday, March 11, there will be a Family Fun Bash with activities including WhirlyBall, bowling, laser tag and pop-up games. There will be a lunch buffet that includes cheese, sausage and pepperoni pizza pretzel bites, mini quesadillas, macaroni and cheese bites, freshly baked cookies and fountain drinks.

Tickets can be purchased here. The cost is $20 for children and $30 for adults.

Jackson

Jackson Pub

Jackson Pub will have lunch and dinner St. Patrick's Day items which includes corn beer sandwich and chips. There will be Miller Lite Green taps for $3, Guinness cans for $3 and Irish car bombs

When: 11 a.m. to midnight March 17. A DJ with karaoke is slated from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Menomonee Falls

AJ O'Brady's Irish Pub & Grill

AJ O'Brady's Irish Pub & Grill is slated to have "the greenest, wackiest and most Irish-est St. Patrick's Day celebration" on March 17. The doors open at 6 a.m. with an Irish Toast at 9 a.m., and there will be a party in their heated tent with DJ Green Machine playing music starting at 1 p.m. and The Love Monkeys will perform later that day.

On March 18, AJ O'Brady's will be open early for breakfast, the DeBraal Brothers are slated to play at 2 p.m. followed by Bootjack Road

When: March 17 and March 18, check its Facebook page for further updates. There will be a limited breakfast until 11 a.m. on March 17 and a limited food menu until 10 p.m. on March 17. There will be a $10 cover charge for the tent that will be good for both nights.

Hot House Tavern

The St. Patrick's menu of Reuben rolls, Irish Nachos, shepherd's pie and corned beef and cabbage is already available at the Hot House Tavern. Green beer will only be served beginning March 17 and until it runs out.

Matty's Bar & Grille

At Matty's Bar & Grille, there will be live music inside and outside, Irish dancing, bag pipes, traditional Irish food and green beer all day long.

Oconomowoc

Oconomowoc Shamrock Shuffle/Pub Crawl

At the first ever Oconomowoc Shamrock Shuffle (Pub Crawl), participants get drink specials at participating bars, a swag bag, T-shirt, a pub crawl cup and beads. For every drink at bars, participants get a raffle ticket for unique prizes. Proceeds from the event help Oconomowoc baseball play at Dockhounds Stadium. The cost is $50.

In downtown Oconomowoc, there will be shopping, dinner and drink specials at more than 25 participating downtown businesses the day before St. Patrick's Day.

Sussex

Village of Sussex Leprechaun Scavenger Hunt

Clues for the Leprechaun Scavenger Hunt will be posted every day at 9 a.m. on the Village of Sussex website. Forms to keep track of answers can be found at the village office, N64 W23760 Main St., or downloaded from the website or Facebook page.

When: March 13 to 17. The leprechauns will stay up until March 19, and the winners will be drawn and contacted on March 21.

Waukesha

Hannon’s Annual St. Patrick's Day Extravaganza

On St. Patrick's Day, Hannon's in Waukesha will have a full Irish menu, Irish drinks and $3 pints of green Miller Lite and Irish car bombs. The lunch menu includes Reubens, Irish stew, potato soup and corned beef and cabbage. For dinner, there will be a selection of items including Irish whiskey steak.

Magellan's On Main St.

Featuring its new outside tent, there will be food such as Irish stew in a bread bowl, corned beef sandwiches, a fish fry, Reuben rolls and St. Patrick's Day drinks. There will also be green beer.

When: 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. March 17 and 18

House of Guinness

House of Guinness in Waukesha will feature live music by Brothers Morgan and the Old Goat Skiffle Band, an outside food truck for their outside tent from Sandwich Sisters which include the Cuban sandwich. Drinks for the day include Pogues Irish Whiskey.

When: the doors open at 8 a.m. and the outdoor tent from Sandwich Sisters food truck is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Brothers Morgan plays in the tent from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. while the Old Goat Skiffle Band plays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 17.

Wauwatosa

Mo's Irish Pub

Mo's opens at 7 a.m. for Kegs & Eggs with music by Trinity Irish Dancers at noon, Leahy's Luck at 2:30 p.m., Trinity Irish Dancers at 5:30 p.m. and Smart Mouth at 8:30 p.m.

Leff's Lucky Town

Leff's Lucky Town in Wauwatosa has already started offering its St. Patrick's Day menu which includes Reuben rolls, Irish mac & cheese and Guinness beef stew. Green beer will only be served on St. Patrick's Day. On St. Patrick's Day, there will be live music by Kris and Dani and Trophy Husbands.

Where: 7208 W. State St., Wauwatosa

When: On St. Patrick's Day, Leff's Lucky Town opens at 6 a.m. for breakfast; live music from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. by Kris and Dani and 9 p.m. to midnight with the Trophy Husbands. Leff's Lucky Town will close at 2:30 a.m. on March 18.
