In a preview for week 2 of season 34, former NFL coach Rex Ryan takes on yodeling in Austria.

The Amazing Race aims to take its teams out of their comfort zone. While it's an incredible opportunity to see the world, it's far from a vacation when you're tasked with challenges that push you to your physical, mental, and emotional limit. Even the most talented racers have their limits. And apparently for former NFL coach Rex Ryan, it's yodeling.

In the exclusive clip above, we see Rex trying to perform a Roadblock, a task that only one member of each team can do. The challenge seems to involve him needing to learn and perform a series of three yodels, a cultural staple of the show's upcoming visit to Innsbruck, Austria. Luckily for the teams, the instructors have some cards handy to phonetically lead the racers through becoming masters of the yodel. Not so lucky for Rex, though.

"I thought I was gonna kick some ass in yodeling," Rex says in a post-leg interview shown in the clip. "I was ready to roll."

That is until reading got involved. Rex brings up his dyslexia diagnosis, something he didn't even know until a little over 15 years ago. He has never let that stop him before, specifically with his decades in the NFL. But having to rely on reading the complicated sounds to ace the yodeling performance and get their next clue may prove to be a bigger obstacle.

"He struggles with words," Rex's race partner and golfing buddy Tim Mann says on the sidelines, unable to assist. "I'm worried about him."

Will yodeling prove to call a permanent time out on Rex and Tim's time on the race? Will any other teams struggle to nail the Austrian sound? Tune in to see on a special 90-minute episode of The Amazing Race 34, this Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
