Louisville, KY — After being postponed for two years due to the pandemic, The Courier Journal's Wine & Food Experience presented by USA TODAY will return this October, and tickets are on sale now.

The event, part of a eight-city tour, will feature small bites from dozens of local restaurants, including Ciao Ristorante, I Love Tacos and Louvino. This year's event will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Oct. 1 at Norton Commons in Prospect, Kentucky.

It will also feature cooking demonstrations and wine seminars with culinary experts, plus a "grand tasting" that features bites from specialty purveyors — from salumi and artisan bread to cheeses, chocolates and much more.

"After a hiatus during the pandemic, I am excited to see the return of this premiere Courier Journal sponsored event," said Executive Editor Mary Irby-Jones. "It is truly a time to explore some of the great local cuisine and wine, craft beer and spirits as well as a chance for attendances to mingle with chefs."

All of the presenters will make other stops along the USA TODAY Network's Wine & Food Experience tour, which kicks off Sept. 24 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The tour will then stop in Louisville on Oct. 1 and then another

Several new cities are joining the tour this year, including Asheville, Tampa, and Palm Springs.

“We’re excited to bring the Wine & Food Experience back to Louisville this year,” said Jason Taylor, president of USA TODAY NETWORK Ventures. “The festival celebrates the local culinary scene and highlights many great businesses, and we’re proud to be a part of this event. Now, more than ever, local restaurants need the support of the community, and this event gives people the opportunity to sample food and drink they might not have previously experienced.”

The Wine & Food experience is 21 and older. No children, infants (even in strollers or carriers) or pets are allowed to attend the event for the safety of all parties.

Here are the 2022 ticket options:

Grand Tasting: $65 in advance or $80 on the day of the event. This ticket offers entry at 1 p.m. and unlimited sampling of chef creations from local restaurants, tastings of fine wines and craft beer, access to chef demonstrations and access to sommelier and mixology seminars.

VIP Grand Tasting: $100 in advance or $115 on the day of the event. This ticket allows entry one hour early at noon, prior to the general admission doors opening. All benefits included in the Grand Tasting are part of this package, plus access to a VIP lounge with exclusive samples.
