Check out this list of upcoming fall festivals throughout Morgan County this year

While the outside air may still be a bit warm and muggy in Indiana, the hues of autumn will soon arrive complete with fall foliage, pumpkin spice and costumed children walking around the area seeking a sweet treat.

In the months of September and October, the area will be host to a number of festivals in every corner of Morgan County from Eminence to Paragon and Morgantown to Waverly.

Paragon Homecoming Festival

The Paragon Homecoming Festival returns Labor Day Weekend from Sept. 2-4.

The festival will include a parade through the streets of Paragon, live entertainment and games for all ages to enjoy.

This year's parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Monrovia Festival

This year's Monrovia Festival will occur the weekend of Sept. 9-11.

The event will include live music, craft booths, a car show and bounce houses.

The parade will start at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.

Colonel Vawter Day

The town of Morgantown will celebrate Colonel Vawter Day on Saturday, Sept. 10.

Colonel Vawter Day celebrates John Vawter, who helped establish the town in southeast Morgan County.

I-69 Finish Line: Morgan Street Extension expected to open this week.

This year's celebration includes several events including craft vendors.

Eminence Harvest Festival

Eminence will host its harvest festival on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Events at this year's celebration includes a 5K run/walk/bike, car and tractor show, prince and princess crowning, parade and magician. Vendors will also be available.

Most events occur at the Eminence Community Schools property with the parade starting at the A&A fire barn.

Martinsville Bicentennial Celebration

The city of Martinsville will celebrate its 200th birthday on Saturday, Sept. 17 in the downtown area.

The celebration will include live performances and fireworks.

Performers include Rose O'Neal, The Woomblies Rock Orchestra, Creedence Revived (a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band), Barracuda (a Heart tribute band) and Clayton Anderson.

The fireworks will go off at 9 p.m. that evening.

Old Town Waverly Festival

Old Town Waverly Park, 8425 Main St., Waverly, will once again host its annual festival on Sept. 24 and 25.

Events include live blacksmith demonstrations, pioneer crafts and live music.

Apple Festival and Craft Fair/Kids Fest

Anderson Orchard, 369 E. Greencastle Rd., Mooresville, will host its Apple Festival on Sept. 25 and 25.

The festival includes craft booths, pumpkin patch and the ability to pick your own apples and/or raspberries.

The orchard will host its Kids Fest the following weekend on Oct. 1 and 2 complete with bounce houses, games and animals.

Martinsville Fall Foliage Festival

The Fall Foliage Festival will return to the Morgan County Courthouse Square in downtown Martinsville this year beginning Oct. 6 and conclude on Oct. 9.

The first night will include a bargain night in which all rides will only require one ticket per person.

Other events this year will be the car show at John R. Wooden Middle School, live entertainment on the free stage and the parade.

This year's parade will begin at 1 p.m. on Oct. 9.

Haunting of Waverly

Old Town Waverly Park will be the site of another festival this year as it plays host to the Haunting of Waverly on Saturday, Oct. 29.

This year's event will include a trunk-or-treat, hay rides and food for all members of the family to enjoy.
