This Charlotte home sold for 320% higher than others on the market. See it and others

The median home sale price in the Charlotte area may be back below $400,000, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of homes on the market for a higher price.

And some luxury properties in the city have even sold for millions, with more mansions with hefty price tags still up for sale headed into summer.

Here are some of the most expensive home sold so far in Charlotte in 2023, plus some multi-million dollar properties still on the market:

Some of the most expensive homes sold in Charlotte so far in 2023, per Realtor.com are:

  • A five-bedroom, six-and-a-half bathroom home sold for $6.25 million near Foxcroft and SouthPark Mall. The house is 8,973 square feet and was built in 2021 on just over an acre of land. Features include a “6-car garage with lower level workshop, private gated motor court, golf simulator, glass enclosed gym with sauna, safe room with private wine tasting area, custom bar located in lower level rec room with french doors leading to patio, chef’s kitchen with Subzero and Wolf appliances open to the family room and outdoor entertaining space surrounding your private heated pool and spa,” the listing stated.

  • A six-bedroom, six-and-a-half bathroom home in Myers Park sold for $5,997,906. The 7,345-square-foot house was built in 2017 on a 0.6-acre lot. The property has a main house and guest house, with a “covered porch & pool area featuring built-in grill, fireplace & retractable porch roof” outside,” the listing said.

  • A six-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom home in Eastover sold for $5.5 million. Built in 1957, it’s a 7,016-square-foot home on a 0.72-acre lot. A pair of family rooms have “french doors that lead to covered terrace with fireplace overlooking the salt water heated swimming pool.” And there’s also “a fabulous wine cellar,” the Realtor listing notes.

  • A five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom home in Eastover sold for $5.35 million. It’s a 2,474-square-foot home built on a 0.44-acre lot. Realtor.com reports the house was “320.43% more expensive than nearby properties.”

What’s the most expensive home for sale in Charlotte?

The most expensive home for sale in Charlotte as of early June, according to the real estate website RedFin, is a 7,995-square-foot house listed for $8.49 million.

With “expansive views of the 15th hole of The Quail Hollow Golf Course,” per the listing, this five-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bath mansion “was completely transformed during an 18-month ‘to the studs’ renovation completed fall 2021.”

The home has a chef’s kitchen with high-end appliances, “wide plank Canadian Black Walnut hardwood” floors and and a “primary suite” with “a beverage/coffee bar, private balcony & a spa bathroom with heated floors & spacious closets.”

Outdoor features include a “50 ft heated salt water pool & spa with Florida Ocean Reef shell-stone decking, 3 car garage & 4th golf cart bay,” the listing said.
