A $1.4 million winning lottery ticket recently sold in Florence, according to the Kentucky state lottery.

A player won on a Fast Play ticket. The $1.4 million jackpot is the biggest in the game's history since its introduction in 2019, Fox 19 reported.

The Kentucky Lottery did not say where the winning ticket was purchased in Florence. The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a secure location. They have 180 days from the date of the purchase to claim their prize, which must be done at the lottery’s headquarters in Louisville.

What is Fast Play?

Fast Play is a series of games with instant cash prizes and a rolling jackpot. Tickets are purchased from lottery retailers and lottery vending machines.

All Fast Play games are eligible to win a percentage of the rolling jackpot. The jackpot starts at $10,000 and grows with every ticket sold.
