Campers stay cool July 5 at the spray park at the Louis Engel Waterfront Park in Ossining. The spray park is open daily from noon to 7 p.m. but closed to the public on Wednesdays until 3 p.m. for summer camp use until August 2.

Harbor Square.
Harbor Square.

A 42-foot tall, 80-ton arch by sculptor Peter Lundberg stands along the Hudson River in Harbor Square in Ossining. Harbor Square developer Martin Ginsburg commissioned the piece as well as other sculptures for the promenade of the luxury rental complex.

Environmental educator and animal caretaker Maddy Schroeder shows Belle, a red-tailed hawk, on July 11. Belle is one of the newest birds of prey to join Teatown nature preserve and environmental education center in Ossining. Visitors can see her and other birds of prey on the raptor loop everyday from dawn to dusk.

Cora Silvestri, 77, left, and dance instructor Cameron Kelly, right, celebrate the end of a line dancing number June 22 at the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center in Ossining, where they offer a variety of classes for seniors. Silvestri, who began coming to the center's swimming pool after a tragic accident, says the activities saved her. Now, it's part of her daily life.

A family fishes off the dock June 29 at Ossining Boat and Canoe Club on the Ossining riverfront. The club was founded in 1915.

Barber Chris Daniels, 35, gives Fabrice Ferjuste, 24, a haircut July 6 at Fade Faktory 914 on Main Street in Ossining. Daniels has been working at the shop for six months and is building up his clientele. He met Ferjuste at the supermarket and told him he cuts hair and to come try him out. A week later they met again.

The Sing Sing Kill Greenway walking path crosses under the 19th century Double Arches in Ossining. The walkway opened in 2016 can be accessed from Joseph G. Caputo Community Center parking lot.

Isabella TeBrake, 6, works on her painting June 29 as her mother, Annie Kim TeBrake, looks on during the "I Heart Art" children's program at the Ossining Public Library. The library has a robust calendar of programs for children, teens and adults.

Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining as seen from the Louis Engel Waterfront Park. The original cellblock dates back to 1825 and was built by inmates.

Fable.
Fable.

A goat welcomes visitors to Fable, a farm dedicated to sustainable agriculture in Ossining. Visitors can see the goats and free-range chickens daily at the farm. There is also a market that sells local produce Wednesday to Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
