Check out the new renderings showing where the Royals want to build downtown stadium

The Royals shared images on Tuesday indicating where the team hopes to build a new downtown ballpark.

On Monday night The Star broke the news that the site of the old Press Pavilion downtown, south of the freeway in the East Crossroads neighborhood, would be the team’s chosen site.

The new renderings show the site bordered by Grand Boulevard on the west, 17th Street to the south, Locust Street to the east and Truman Road to the north.

Jackson County voters will decide in an April 2 election whether to issue a new 3/8th-cent sales tax to help finance the new Royals ballpark and renovate Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs.

Check out the images for yourself.
