Stony Point Lighthouse stands within the grounds of the Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site and from the top has sweeping views up and down the Hudson River.

The Pyngyp one-room schoolhouse.
The Pyngyp one-room schoolhouse.

The schoolhouse building on Route 210 served generations of children in the first half of the 20th century. Once its life as a schoolhouse ended, it served residents as a town-owned community center, but eventually closed due to its deteriorating condition. A restoration effort was launched in 2011 and completed in 2015. The schoolhouse has been recognized on the state and national registers of historic places.

People view the large bronze statue of Our Lady of the Rosary, popularly known as the Rosary Madonna, on Aug. 1 at Marian Shrine in Stony Point. The statue was erected on the front lawn of the shrine in September 1977.
