Steve Kaufman works June 27 at Wow, That's Unusual! Collectibles and Consignment Shop in Suffern. The store on Lafayette Avenue has a hodgepodge of knick-knacks, bric-a-brac and various items from the past. The Village of Suffern, incorporated in 1796, sits on just over 2 square miles in the western part of Rockland County with a population of just over 11,000. The town and surrounding area played a pivotal roll in the Revolutionary War as a meeting point for troops coming from the south and the east to fight battles in the north.

A large sundial outside the Suffern Library was donated by the Goldstein family in memory of Joyce Keough. The plaque in the sundial's center is called an Analemma, which is a graph of the changing declination of the sun and the equation of time for the entire year. During the noon-hour, a beam of light is projected on to the plaque where you can locate the month and date by where the beam of light hits the plaque.

"Once upon a Time," a sculpture by Sandi Clark, on display in the lobby of the Suffern Library on Lafayette Avenue. The library hours are Monday-Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Sundays.

Suffern resident David Salembier and his 11-year old dog Mister Diggons the Golden wait June 28 to see the veterinarian for a check up at the Suffern Animal Hospital. Suffern Animal Hospital has been providing veterinary care to cats, dogs, horses, and other large animals in and around Suffern since 1978.

A women exits the popular Java Love Coffee Roasting Company on June 27 in Suffern. The building was a bank at one point and also was used in the 2019 Martin Scorsese film "The Irishman."

Promofect.
Promofect.

An employee at Promofect (formally Royal Tee's) readies the program for a large embroidery order June 27.  Royal Tee's and now Promofect has been screening and embroidering shirts for local businesses, sporting teams and organizations in Suffern for over 40-years.

The Soldier's Monument at the intersection of Lafayette Avenue and Washington Street in Suffern. In 1908, Charles E. Suffern gave the village a cannon. The cannon was placed in a grassy triangle and a stone wall was later built around it. In 1921, the Soldier's Monument was added with the names of those who served during World War 1.
