The following is a list of Hometeam girls' cross-country all-stars, as selected by the staff at the Telegram & Gazette.

These also are all nominees for the girls' cross-country player of the year for the Central Mass High School Sports Awards, presented by DCU, to be held in the spring. The winner will be the announced at the show. More details about the program are coming soon.

During the live show, these nominees will be honored, along with the top three finalists and the player of the year. All official nominees can receive a free ticket. Check back later in the year for information on how to RSVP.

The Central Mass High School Sports Awards show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.

Georgia Brooks

Groton-Dunstable Regional, Sophomore

Brooks aspires to run in college. She’s off to a great start toward achieving that goal. In her first full season of cross-country, Brooks placed third at the Mid-Wach B meet, second at the Central Mass. Division 1 championships and fourth at the Division 2C state meet. She closed out the fall against in-state competition by finishing 11th at the Division 2 state championships in a personal-record time of 19:07.7. That was her most memorable moment of the season. Other highlights included earning All-America status after placing 33rd at the USATF Junior Olympic meet, She is the daughter of Christine and John Brooks of Groton.

Riley Clark

Littleton High, Senior

Clark competed this fall with an iron deficiency and anemia, but she wasn’t lacking when it came to success. This three-time T&G Super Team selection placed second at the Mid-Wach C meet to help the Tigers win the team title before going on to take third at the Central Mass. Division 2 championships. Clark then finished second at the Division 3B state meet and eighth at the Division 3 state championships as the Tigers placed sixth out of 22 teams. Clark will continue her running career at Washington University in St. Louis, where she plans to study biochemistry or mathematics. She is the daughter of Susan and Robert Clark of Littleton.

Caroline Collins

Nashoba Regional, Sophomore

This is the second T&G Super Team selection for Collins, who excelled locally, regionally and nationally. The sensational sophomore placed second at the Division 2A state meet to help the Wolves finish fifth in the team standings and qualify for the state championships, which her most memorable moment of the season. Collins then finished sixth at the D2 state meet in 18:33.2. That was a personal-record time and ranked 21st in the state this fall. Collins placed second in the freshman/sophomore race at the Eastbay Northeast Regional and 57th at the AAU national championships. She is the daughter of Kristen and Fred Collins of Stow.

Olivia Guckian

Algonquin Regional, Sophomore

What a fabulous first season of cross-country it was for Guckian. She finished 15th overall and sixth among sophomores in the red race at the Bay State Invitational and took third at the Central Mass. Division 1 championships to lead Algonquin to second place in the team standings. Guckian then finished 34th at the Division 1A state meet to advance to the D1 state championships as an individual qualifier. She considers that her most memorable moment of the season. Guckian saved the best for last as she ran a personal-best time of 19:28.2 to place 50th at All-States. She is the daughter of Stephanie and Kevin Guckian of Northborough.

Molly Lashley

Whitinsville Christian, Senior

Add Lashley’s name to the short list of four-time T&G Super Team selections in cross-country following another spectacular season. Her running résumé included victories at the Martha’s Vineyard and Bay State invitationals and Division 2C state meet, where she led the Crusaders to the team title. Lashley placed fourth at the D2 state championships. Along the way she established a personal-record time of 18:08 that ranked fourth in the state this fall. Lashley will continue her running career at the University of Delaware, where she plans to study sports nutrition and sports management. She is the daughter of Nancy and Baird Lashley of Millville.

Lauren Long

Lunenburg High, Sophomore

It was another rewarding season of individual and team success for this three-time T&G Super Team selection. Long placed fourth in the green race at the Bay State Invitational, second at the Mid-Wach D meet and third at the Division 3B state meet, leading the Blue Knights to the team title at the latter two events. Then, in her most memorable moment of the season, Long took ninth at the D3 state championships in a personal-record time of 19:17.3 as the Blue Knights overcame the absence of one of their top runners to finish third as a team. She is the daughter of Yvonne and Jim Long of Lunenburg.

Kylie Marion

Narragansett Regional, Senior

It was a senior season to remember for Marion, who finished first at the Quabbin Invitational, where she set the course record, and Division 3C state meet. Those were the most memorable moments of the season for this two-time T&G Super Team selection as she achieved her personal goals while her teammates also ran strong races. Marion went on to place fifth in 18:40.4 at the Division 3 state championships. That was a personal-record time and ranked 30th in the state this fall. Marion will continue her running career at UMass-Lowell, where she plans to study biology. She is the daughter of Michelle and Richard Marion of Baldwinville.

Emery Mullen

Shepherd Hill Regional, Junior

It was a fabulous fall from start to finish for Mullen. This three-time T&G Super Team selection took fifth at the Martha’s Vineyard Invitational in September, second at the Mid-Wach A meet in October, and eighth at the Division 1C state meet and 30th at the D1 state championships in November. Mullen’s time of 19:11.7 at the D1 meet was a season best by 18 seconds. That performance along with cheering on her teammates afterward were her most memorable moments of the season. The 5-foot-10 Mullen is also an outstanding basketball player for the Rams and volunteers for Best Buddies. She is the daughter of Christina and Martin Mullen of Charlton.

Fiona Picone

Oakmont Regional, Senior

It was a season of medals and memories for Picone. She placed second at the Quabbin Invitational and Mid-Wach B meet before winning the Central Mass. Division 1 Championships. Picone then took second at the Division 3A state meet and fourth at the D3 state championships, where her time of 18:36.2 was a personal record and ranked 25th in the state this fall. This three-year captain’s most memorable moments this season included helping the Spartans earn their first trip to the state championships. While she has yet to settle on a college, Picone plans to study biology on a pre-med track with the career goal of becoming a physician. She is the daughter of Meghan and Chris Picone of Ashburnham.

Shae Regan

Littleton High, Senior

No matter the course, the competition or the conditions, Regan was consistently among the first to cross the line. Regan recorded top-five finishes at the Frank Kelley and Bob McIntyre invitationals before embarking on a goal-medal run. She finished first at the Mid-Wach C meet, Central Mass. Division 2 championships, Division 3B state meet, and, whew, the D3 state championships, where she covered the 5,000-meter course at the Wrentham Development Center in 17 minutes, 47.4 seconds. That was a personal record by nearly 24 seconds for 5 kilometers and the second-fastest time in the state this fall. Regan will continue her running career at Northeastern University, where she plans to study life sciences and applied life science branches. She is the daughter of Jen and Kevin Regan of Littleton.

Emma Squire

Bromfield School, Freshman

What a fantastic freshman season it was for Squire. She placed seventh in the freshman-sophomore race at the Frank Kelley Invitational and helped the Trojans finish second as a team at the Bob McIntyre and Dick Atkinson invitationals. Then came a terrific postseason run in which Squire finished fourth at the Mid-Wach C meet, fifth at the Division 3C state meet and 12th overall and third among underclassmen at the D3 state championships in 19:27.7. That was a personal-record time by 28 seconds. Squire’s most memorable moment of the season was seeing the Trojans again go undefeated in league dual meets. She is the daughter of Kate and Chris Squire of Harvard.

Ashlynn Witt

Wachusett Regional, Junior

This marks the second straight T&G Super Team selection for Witt, the latest in a long line of talented distance runners from Wachusett. The junior captain placed fifth at the Amherst Invitational, first at the Mid-Wach A meet and fourth at the Central Mass. Division 1 championships to lead the Mountaineers to the team title at all three events. Witt then finished 17th at the Division 1A state meet and, in what was her most memorable moment of the season, posted a personal-record time of 19:04 to take 24th at the D1 state championships. She is the daughter of Susan and Davis Witt of Princeton.
