(SOUNDBITE) (English) 'SMILING MASK' FOUNDER, CHARLES DE BELLEFROID, SAYING:
"We used our Cheesebox (photo booth) to capture the picture for customized masks on-site so as you may see here. In the meantime, we also developed an application that enables any customer via our website to buy a mask and then to easily take a picture of their face and we use face recognition to be able to directly get the good picture and to automatize the production process."
The 'smiling mask' costs $22.6
and can be washed 8-10 times
(SOUNDBITE) (French) MOTHER OF TWO LIVING IN GENVAL, VIRGINIE THYS, SAYING:
"The mask remains impersonal. Here, having our face printed on it is more friendly, it's more fun. I think the idea is really excellent. It is really a good initiative. I think right now we are all wearing a mask and now we know who we are dealing with. It is really a great idea in any case."
