Chelsea miss out on chance to move third
Chelsea moved above Arsenal into fourth, but squandered the opportunity to move third in the Premier League at home to Burnley on Monday night.
Jeff Hendrick’s 20 yard volley stunned Stamford Bridge inside eight minutes to give the visitors the lead.
Six minutes later Chelsea were in front themselves. N’golo Kante made it 1-1, before Gonazlo Higuain thundered in off the crossbar.
Maurizio Sarri’s side could only hold on to that advantage for 10 minutes though after Ashley Barnes equalised from six yards out.
Pedro saw his claim for a penalty waved away by the referee midway through the second half, but neither side could produce a clear cut chance, as Chelsea threw away a huge opportunity to make ground in the fight for the top four.

With Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham all losing over the weekend, the Blues will be frustrated they failed to take full advantage.
Burnley took the lead with just eight minutes on the clock. Hendrick sending a sweet volley past Kepa from 20 yards out, following Cesar Azpilicueta’s clearance.
Kante put the home side back on level terms just four minutes after going behind. Eden Hazard turning Matthew Lowton inside out before pulling back for the Frenchman to smash home.
Higuain turned the game on it’s head two minutes later. After a nice one-two with Azpilicueta, the Argentine unleashed an emphatic strike which flew in off the underside of the crossbar.
That lead didn’t last for long though, Ashley Barnes restored parity after being left unmarked six yards out. He levelled things up with what would be the final goal of the match in just the 24th minute.
Chelsea move into fourth place with a point, but a frustrating night for Maurizio Sarri's side compounded, as Callum Hudson-Odoi and Kante also went off injured.
For Burnley, a point pretty much secures their Premier League place. They're nine points above Cardiff - with a better goal difference - with three games remaining.
