Chelsea Handler took a little time to celebrate some pretty big news from the White House this week.
The comedian, 47, shared an Instagram photo that showed her floating around in a weed-printed bikini while smoking a joint, and her abs were seriously sculpted.
Chelsea doesn't just work out to stay physically strong; the sessions help her mentally, too.
It’s not easy being green, but Chelsea Handler definitely makes it look pretty great! The comedian shared a photo of herself lounging on a floatie in a pool while wearing a cannabis leaf-printed bikini and smoking what appears to be a joint. As she lazes on the inner tube, she looks like she's the most carefree person in the world. “This one is for you, Joe Biden!” she wrote in the caption.
ICYMI, President Biden pardoned about 6,500 people convicted of marijuana possession charges dating back to 1992 on Thursday, per the New York Times, marking a massive win for marijuana legalization advocates like Chelsea.
Clearly, Chelsea seemed to be enjoying the big event from her pool raft. And what better way to celebrate than with a poolside joint and your rock-hard abs on display for the world to see?
Her fans also seemed to dig the statement, and cheered her on in the comments. Paris Hilton left her a fire emoji, and actress Julianna Margulies wrote, "Yaasssss!🔥."
Chelsea, 47, has been open about her use of cannabis throughout her career, especially in her Netflix series, Chelsea Does. “Cannabis does enhance the natural and life. It enhances the basic stuff. You can have moments of quiet throughout the day, or you can have a moment to actually be joyous, or to be grateful for the small things that we’re being taught to appreciate during this time,” she shared with Forbes.
As for those abs, Chelsea hits the gym hard, and lucky for us, she shares her strength gains with her IG followers. Recently, she rocked a P.H.D shirt (which she says means Pretty Huge Deadlift) as she crushed her deadlifts with her trainer. While cracking jokes, naturally. My idol.
This kind of deadlift workout has all kinds of benefits, but especially the sculpting kind. The move (which is a super innate human movement!) hits everything from your booty and abs, to your hamstrings, arms, and shoulders. Phew!
“To me, working out is about being strong in your body for your health, while before it was about being physically looking good,” she told People. “Now I’m like, I have to mentally be strong in order to work hard and get s— done. It makes you feel better. At a certain age, you’re just like, okay. I mean, obviously, I want to look good too, but it becomes more about being mentally strong.”
