4. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHELSEA MANAGER, FRANK LAMPARD, ON IF IT WAS A TACTIC TO SHOOT FROM DISTANCE, SAYING:

"It wasn't, because I've got huge respect for him (David de Gea) as a goalkeeper. I know people will always home in on keepers when they make those errors, because they're critical for them. But all I did say to Mason (Mount) at halftime was that I wanted to see him strike through the balls more. He had a shot in the first half, he tried to kind of whip it or bend it and for me, you've got to try and outside the box against top keepers, and de Gea's a top keeper, you have to strike through them. Of course, he didn't catch it brilliantly and it goes in and probably down as a mistake. It's more I was actually worried, or my job is to worry more about my players and with Mason I just wanted him to shoot more."

7. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHELSEA MANAGER, FRANK LAMPARD, ON REST OF THE SEASON SAYING:

"We're working towards I mean we want to close the gap above us. It doesn't come easy. We've seen that with other teams over recent years and so it's step by step. Today was a nice step for us. You know, just this step towards the final, we want to try to win that final, but we have shown lots of good stuff this year and with more work and the way we move forward and what we do in the summer, I think there'll be more to come. But at the moment we have to really focus on the three finals domestically that we have. Two league games and then Arsenal in the FA Cup final which is huge for us."

"Everyone has to perform and everyone has a chance every time we perform to stake a claim in the team. David knows he should have saved a second goal, but that's done now. We've got to move on. We've got to again look forward to Wednesday. You can see, it's hard for a keeper to make amends, apart from David's making two or three fantastic saves after."

11. (SOUNDBITE) (English) MANCHESTER UNITED MANAGER, OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER, ON BATTLE TO FINISH IN THE TOP FOUR IN THE LEAGUE, SAYING:

"Of course, we can't do anything about that, but of course, that's, it's between us Chelsea and Leicester them last two positions, so, that'll be the more help we get from others the better of course, it is. But if we do our job on Wednesday, we'll be in a good position to, before we go into the Leicester game, we hope that the last game could be a, if we win that one we can qualify (for the Champions League). We've just got to regroup, go again on Wednesday against West Ham. What we have learned, we got loads of things to learn as a team, but we have learnt and we are developing and this team's going to, took a knock today. It was knocked confidence-wise of course, but lets see how their reaction is on Wednesday."

STORY: Chelsea beat Manchester United 3-1 on Sunday (July 19) to book their place in an all-London FA Cup final, helped by two errors from United goalkeeper David de Gea and an own goal by Harry Maguire.

Chelsea, who will face city rivals Arsenal in the Aug. 1 showpiece, had lost to United three times this season but looked brighter from the start at an empty Wembley and took control with goals either side of halftime from Olivier Giroud and Mason Mount.

United were forced into a change at 0-0 late in the first half when Eric Bailly was carried off after clashing heads with fellow defender Maguire. United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought on Anthony Martial to create more attacking threat.

But it was Chelsea who took the lead 11 minutes into first-half stoppage time when Giroud flicked a cross by Cesar Azpilicueta at De Gea who failed to get enough of a hand on the ball to stop it spinning over the line.

Chelsea doubled the lead a minute after the restart when Mason Mount pounced on a poor pass by Brandon Williams to shoot from the edge of the box. It looked like De Gea would make a comfortable save but he could only steer the ball into the net.

United struggled to create any chances to narrow the deficit and Chelsea sealed the win when Maguire, under pressure from Antonio Rudiger, connected with a cross from Marcos Alonso with his studs and diverted the ball past the hapless De Gea.

United scored a consolation goal when Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty in the 85th minute.
