Neyo White, the man who went viral in 2022 when he revealed that a chemical peel burned his face severely, has been awarded $1 million after winning his lawsuit against an Atlanta skincare spa and its CEO.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the terrifying incident happened at Diamond Facez Skin Care Bar when the CEO administered the chemical peel to White.

In the viral TikTok video he posted in 2022, White said he has been to that same spa several times in the past, but he usually asks for other facial procedures. One day, however, he chose to get a chemical peel because he wanted to try something different, TMZ reported.

The woman who was administering the peel, according to White, assured him that everything would be fine. Four days later, however, White said he had burns all over the face.

“After going to Atlanta local aesthetician and getting a chemical peel treatment shortly after I end up with second-degree burn on my face And other skin damages,” White said on a GoFundMe page he launched to raise funds for his treatment.

The Atlanta man also said the injury damaged his mindset and confidence.

“Since it happened i’ve also had thoughts of suicide,” he wrote.

White asked for donations to help cover the cost of recovery treatment, as well as other makeup accessories he needs to buy. He also said the funds would help him launch his own skincare brand.

“I will be launching a skin care product that would help others who have experience the same thing and this product would also be so amazing a god giving skin care product it would help other people boost their confidence and self-esteem and mindset so most importantly I would be improving and changing lives,” he wrote.

So far, White has only raised $60 via his GoFundMe page.

White’s $1 million award from the lawsuit includes $750,000 in compensatory damages, with two-thirds of that amount coming from the company. The remaining amount comes from the CEO. White is also awarded $250,000 in punitive damages.
