Chemung County municipalities see $2 million in roadway grants

CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. (WETM) – Local municipalities throughout Chemung County will be receiving approximately $2 million in grant-related funding to improve local roadways, as announced by Chemung County Executive Chris Moss.

According to Chemung County Executive Chris Moss’s Office, the funding comes from a co-sponsored initiative from the Chemung County Legislature and Executive Office, which created the program to assist municipalities with roadway maintenance-related work.

Lackawanna Trail bridge to close next week for construction

All of the sixteen municipalities in Chemung County are participating in the program, many of which have already been awarded its particular funding.
