Cher saves ‘world’s loneliest elephant’ living in Pakistan zoo for 35 years

Cher landed in Pakistan on Friday to help move an elephant named Kaavan to a sanctuary in Cambodia. Vets say Kavaan is both overweight and malnourished after living at a zoo in Pakistan for 35 years. The “Song for the Lonely” singer has been working for years to free the elephant, and the Smithsonian Channel is releasing a documentary about her efforts next year.
