Chernihiv Oblast collaborator to go on trial for supporting Russian crimes
She is suspected of disseminating information that justifies, recognizes as lawful, or denies the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (part 3 of article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation revealed that the woman used her account on the banned Russian social network Odnoklassniki to spread videos in which she expressed support for the annexation of Ukrainian territories and the “heroic deeds” of Russian military personnel.
The justification and glorification of a military aggressor country was confirmed after a judicial investigation of her social media.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the investigative department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Chernihiv Oblast.

She has been remanded to custody ahead of her trial.
Pryluky is a town in the south of Chernihiv Oblast, about 130 kilometers to the east of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
The nearby Pryluky Air Base used to be Ukraine’s largest air field, and was the base for a fleet of Tu-160 supersonic strategic bombers. Eight of the bombers were handed over to Russia in late 1999-early 2000 in exchange for the forgiveness of Ukraine’s energy debts to Russia.

The bombers were relocated to the Engels-2 air base in Russia – which Russian strategic bombers until recently used as a base from which to launch cruise missiles at targets in Ukraine.
