Cherokee County to hold drive-thru flu shot clinic
Flu season is right around the corner.
The Cherokee County Health Department announced Tuesday that they will hold a drive-thru flu shot clinic on, Oct. 4th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Woodstock Health Center.
The department says public health staff administering the shot will be in COVID-19 protective gear.
The shot is no-cost if covered by one of several health plans; Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Coventry, Humana, Ambetter and United Healthcare Insurance, all listed as acceptable options.

If paying out of pocket, a regular flu vaccine will cost $25, and a high-dose flu vaccine for people aged 65 and older will cost $65, according to the department.
Both vaccines guard against four different strains of flu, according to the department.
