Cherokee deputy frees baby deer trapped in fence
A fawn is back with its mother after a Cherokee County deputy rescued it on Saturday.
The sheriff’s office says someone noticed on Saturday afternoon that the fawn was stuck in a fence behind a home off of Wiley Bridge Road in Woodstock and contacted them to help.

Deputy Kay heard the call and sprang into action, the department said in a Facebook post.
Luckily, she was able to free the baby from the fence without it getting hurt.

The fawn was reunited with its mother, who was waiting for her baby to get free in the area, shortly after.
