Timothy Newton pleaded guilty on Oct. 24, 2023.

As part of the investigation, a search warrant was executed on his phone by detectives. They found photos and communications that corroborated the victim’s report. Detectives also found dozens of child sexual abuse material as well as animal sexual abuse material.

These images and videos depicted acts of sexual abuse on children ranging from infants to teenagers, as well as animals. The animal material included sexual abuse involving a chicken, horse and dog.

The Commonwealth pushed for an active sentence of 40 years, but instead the Judge Robert G. MacDonald sentenced him to 360 years with 335 years suspended, leaving only 25 years to serve. Newton will be required to register as a sex offender and undergo treatment.
