(NBC) — Emotions will run high Wednesday night on “Chicago Fire,” the wedding many fans have anticipated is finally happening, but so is a farewell.

It has been a decade for Kara Killmer as part of the “Chicago Fire” cast.

“They’re the most wonderful people and I’ve learned so much from them,” said Killmer.

But Wednesday is Killmer’s finale, her character says farewell and “I do” in a much-anticipated wedding.

“If you told me when I started that Sylvie would end up with Casey, I would be like, “Absolutely not,” that would be so cool,” said Killmer.

The marriage of Killmer’s and Jesse Spencer’s characters will have them moving to Portland.

“I think Casey and Brett deserve happiness,” said Spencer. “I think they deserve each other and it’s really nice to see them come together this way.”

Sparking a celebration that brought the entire “Chicago” family together.

“That makes me really happy and a little emotional,” said co-star Eamonn Walker, who plays Wallace Boden on the show.

“It’s just lovely, it made me cry and I know it’s not a real wedding and I cried,” said Amy Morton from “Chicago PD.”

And after the nuptials, the family got to party.

“But it’s not like the Brady Bunch,” said Killmer. “It’s more like a circus.”

“We all have a good time, maybe sometimes, too much fun,” said Taylor Kinney, who “Fire” fans know as Kelly Severide.

“It was very bittersweet,” said Hanako Greensmith who plays Violet Mikami on the show. “I think, I’m gonna cry.”

“We’re losing a loving, beautiful enduring character and person,” said David Eigenberg whose character Christopher Herrmann has been on the series from the start.

“I feel like this is happily ever after,” said Spencer. “It kinda does feel like that.”

It’s a fairy tale finish.

“Chicago Fire” airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. on NBC4.
