Chicago man facing felony charge in connection with Southwest Side hit-and-run

CHICAGO — A Chicago man accused in a Southwest Side hit-and-run crash that left another man seriously injured is now facing a felony charge.

According to Chicago police, 48-year-old Demetre Lambropoulos has been charged with one felony count of leaving the scene of an accident that caused injury or death.

Officers say the charge stems from a hit-and-run crash that allegedly occurred in the 5600 block of West 63rd Street, in the city’s Clearing neighborhood, on Oct. 8.
