Chicago police officer shot in Brighton Park neighborhood. 4th cop shot in less than two weeks. Suspect in custody.

A Chicago police officer was shot Thursday afternoon in the South Side’s Brighton Park neighborhood, authorities said.

The officer is the fourth Chicago cop to be shot in less than two weeks.

The latest shooting occurred in the 2400 block of West 46th Street, and a suspect was in custody, authorities said.

There’s no condition available for the officer, who was en route to Mount Sinai Hospital for treatment, according to a police spokesman.
