Chicago River Dyed Green for St Patrick's Day

The Chicago River was dyed green for St Patricks Day on March 13, in a surprise return to tradition amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced the river would be dyed as usual but did not give specific time for the event in an attempt to maintain social distancing and deter large crowds from gathering.
