Chicago Street Swamped After Heavy Rain

There was localized flooding in Chicago on October 11 as torrential rain hit the city amid what the National Weather Service said were “multiple rounds of strong and a few severe thunderstorms” crossing Illinois.

At least one “brief tornado” was reported south of the city, in LaSalle County.
