Chicago suburb says it won’t enforce vaccine mandate for restaurants, bars

The mandate in Cook County, which includes Chicago and many suburbs, requires businesses to check proof of vaccination effective Jan. 3. Orland Park trustees voted to defy what one called “this current attempt at government overreach of basically forcing vaccination.”
