ED CURRAN: Here's what we have going on. It's a cold morning in Chicago. You'll need a cup of coffee to warm up to this. We have an amazing 11 below at Aurora. We have 7 degrees above at O'Hare, 5 below at McHenyr, 3 below at Joliet, 4 below at Morris.

So we have some very cold areas. And within those cold areas, we're looking at some fog develop as well. And with those really cold temperatures, we can see some of this fog freeze on contact. So do be careful if you're out there this morning. You'll run into some freezing fog situations.

Right now our clouds and radar show you that we've got nice clear skies overhead. And we have the fog that's forming. But for the most part, we have clear skies. We're on our way to a sunny morning when the sun comes up a little after 6:30 this morning.

All right, so lots of sunshine today. Cold temperatures, though, with a high of 25 degrees in Chicago. As we head into the day tomorrow, we increase the chance to see snow by afternoon. Snow is with us in the afternoon, and this is a little bit of a touchy situation because it's going to be on the warm side.

So this is going to be very wet snow. It's going to be snow that's impacted by the warmth and may cut down totals a little bit. But by the time it's all said and done and comes through here tomorrow, you could see an inch or two of accumulation, especially in northern colder areas. You could see maybe up to 3 inches of accumulation. So that's tomorrow, afternoon, and evening the snow that comes in Chicago.

We've had enough snow, haven't we? 45.8 inches so far. Normally at this point in the year, you're looking at 26.9 inches. So that means we're better than a foot and a half above normal. And 45.8 inches, keep in mind, an average snowfall for Chicago for the season, the whole season-- and we're nowhere near the end of the season-- is about 36 inches.

Tomorrow, that snow develops in the afternoon. Doesn't amount to a whole heck of a lot, but we could have 1 to 3 inches. 32 degrees tomorrow. And boy, a nice warm up to 35 Monday and into the 40s by Tuesday and Wednesday.
