50-car train derailment causes big fire, evacuations in Ohio
A train derailment and resulting large fire prompted an evacuation order and a declaration of a state of emergency in an Ohio village near the Pennsylvania state line, covering the area in billows of smoke lit orange by the flames below. About 50 cars derailed in East Palestine as a train was carrying a variety of freight from Madison, Illinois, to Conway, Pennsylvania, rail operator Norfolk Southern said in a statement Saturday. There was no immediate information about what caused the derailment.

Man Drives Fanboat on North Texas' Icy Roads
An adventurous Texan decided to take his fanboat on the ice-covered road of North Texas. Earlier this week, a winter storm swept across the state of Texas. According to the Dallas Morning News, North Texas got an inch and a half of sleet on Tuesday and freezing rain on Wednesday. Hundreds of thousands of people are without electricity, and thousands of flights have been canceled. Texas’ roads are also in a state of disarray, with plenty of roads impassable by car.
