Chicago White Sox will open the 2021 season at the Los Angeles Angels on April 1 — the start of a 7-game road trip
The 2020 season hasn’t even started, yet Major League Baseball provided a look at next year with the release of the 2021 schedule on Thursday.
The Chicago White Sox will open 2021 on April 1 at the Los Angeles Angels.
It’s the first time the Sox will start the season at the Angels since 1992. It’s also the beginning of a seven-game road trip, with four games against the Angels and three at the Seattle Mariners.
The home opener at Guaranteed Rate Field is set for April 8 against the Kansas City Royals.
The schedule features the National League Central as part of interleague play. The Sox have six games against the Cubs, August 6-8 at Wrigley Field and August 27-29 at Guaranteed Rate Field.
The White Sox close the regular season Oct. 3 at home against the Detroit Tigers.
