Chicago Wrigley Field COVID vaccine site set to close soon

Illinois reported 602 COVID cases and 18 deaths Sunday.

- We're going to-- the mass vaccination site at Gallagher Way, next to Wrigley Field, is set to close tomorrow. The city is shifting its focus to hyper-local vaccine events, meeting residents in their communities. People who had appointments booked at Gallagher Way after tomorrow will be rescheduled at Illinois Masonic Hospital, less than a mile away.

And yesterday people applauded for members of the Illinois National Guard. They wrapped up their mission at the mass vaccination clinic in Tinley Park. The vaccination sites in River Grove and South Holland are closed. They closed yesterday. Three other mass vaccination clinics are still open.

Suburban Cook County here, as we take a look at the numbers, has the second highest rate of vaccination in the Chicago area at 43%. About 40% of Chicago's population is fully vaccinated. Dupage has the highest rate. Within 48% of the population is fully vaccinated there.
