Chick-fil-A opening another downtown Indianapolis restaurant this summer

Update, Sept. 13: The Greenfield Chick-fil-A, at 2203 N. State St., will open Sept. 15, 2022. The downtown Indianapolis store, at 10 E. Washington St., opened Aug. 4, 2022.

Original story, May 2: Downtown Indianapolis will get another Chick-fil-A store later this year.

A restaurant at 10 E. Washington St. is scheduled to open this summer, the company said.

The location, between Chipotle Mexican Grill and Crab 99 Bar & Restaurant, is the Atlanta chain’s third in the Mile Square. A Chick-fil-A operates at Circle Centre Mall, and one recently opened at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The IUPUI campus also has a Chick-fil-A outlet.

The Indianapolis area has about 20 Chick-fil-A locations, including one opening May 7 at  9961 E. Washington St. Another is planned for Greenfield at 2203 N. State St. the summer.
