Chick-fil-A is opening a new drive-thru on the Mississippi Coast. Here’s how it works

Chick-fil-A in Gulfport is north of Interstate 10, but those near the beach who crave a spicy chicken sandwich or a fruit cup soon will have a closer option.

Chicken on Pass will be a Chick-fil-A drive-thru window only, with a limited express menu and limited hours, the company announced on Facebook.

The drive-thru window is on the east side of the Bridal and Formal Boutique House of Tux at 1720 Pass Road, Gulfport, a few blocks east of U.S. 49.

“This is the first express location for us in Gulfport and on the Coast,” said Amy Comstock, Chick-fil-A Gulfport restaurant marketing director.

It will be a short wait for Chick-fil-A fans. The tentative opening date is July 13 — and the express location will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

On the limited express menu will be regular and spicy chicken sandwiches plus grilled cool wrap alone as a meal. The location also will have Cobb salad, sides like waffle potato chips and their Greek yogurt parfait, beverages plus cookies and brownies for dessert.

Comstock said the menu is set according to Chick-fil-A Corporate standards and quality guidelines and as of now, nuggets are not on the menu.

The drive-thru will be cash and card only and no coupons or app rewards will be available.
