Chick-fil-A opens Thursday at Towne Square in Edison

EDISON - Chick-fil-A fanatics can "Eat Mor Chikin" come Thursday as the popular fast food chain opens its newest spot in Towne Square.

The newest Chick-fil-A will open for drive-thru, mobile ordering, dine-in and carry-out service, with third-party delivery coming soon. It is located at 999 Route 1, and will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Franchise owner Sophie Stein is looking forward to serving the community.

"My experience with Chick-fil-A began at age 15, and I immediately fell in love with the food, culture, community and endless opportunities available for Team Members like me," said Stein. "It’s surreal to reflect on my growth with this company, and my goal is to create similar experiences and opportunities for my team at Chick-fil-A Edison Towne Square."

In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100 Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Edison Towne Square will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in the township with free Chick-fil-A for a year.

Also, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Central Jersey area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A, Inc. is a family owned and privately held restaurant company founded in 1967 by S. Truett Cathy. It is known for its original chicken sandwich served in more than 2,600 restaurants in 47 states, Washington, D.C., and Canada.
